Sanchi

Sanchi brings together stupas, temples, monasteries and a pillar associated with the period of Aśoka on one hill. Stupa 1 and its carved gateways reward a slow visit, complemented by the Archaeological Museum and its Buddhist and Brahmanical material from several periods.
